SO1 – Sonos One Outlet Mount

This mount holds the Sonos One (SL) or Play:1 directly and securely on the outlet. Plug and cable disappear completely inside – no drilling or gluing at all.

The set consists of 3 parts: Sonos One holder, Schuko adapter for the plug and cover for the bottom of the holder.

The Schuko adapter completely encloses the original Sonos plug and turns it into a Schuko plug with a solid hold in the outlet. This way the adapter carries the 1.8 kg as well as the pressure when using the touch controls – the weight does not rest on the pins of the plug. Adapter and holder are firmly connected and cannot come loose on their own.

Important: Make sure your outlet is firmly screwed to the flush-mounted box in the wall, as it has to carry the entire weight.
Do not heat above 50 °C, as this may cause permanent deformation!
The Schuko adapter fits all common type C (DE/AT) and type E (BE/FR) outlets in the EU.

Safety notice: Work on the outlet must always be carried out with the fuse switched off and only by a qualified electrician. Working on the electrical circuit (230 V) is life-threatening!

Manufacturing

The mount is made using FDM 3D printing with a fine layer height of 0.16 mm. The fine “ridges” typical of 3D printing are present, but only visible up close.

Only branded PLA (polylactide) filament with a matte finish and slightly rubberised feel is used for printing.
Colours: White = RAL 9003 | Black = RAL 9017.

Each piece is 100 % handmade, so there may be minimal variations in appearance.

Further finishing

The mount can be finished further. As long as the plastic is not heated above 50 °C, you can:

• sand it (removes the fine ridges completely)
• prime it
• varnish / paint it
